Me and my boyfriend visited while we were on our holiday to Amsterdam, initially he was quoted over budget for his tattoo so I got one instead and it was stunning, we walked in but he catered the flash tattoo to how I wanted it and it was perfect. We came in 2 days later and my boyfriend decided to get something smaller and in budget and the artist morphed 2 of his flash to make a similar idea to what he wanted and we both love them! I had a septum piercing done elsewhere, but White Whale has a nice jewellery collection that I wanted to check out. I was worried about taking out my septum piercing for the first time, but the guy who helped me out was super friendly and helped me trying on different piercings. I bought two new clickers, though have to say they're not very sturdy and the simple ring I can't really wear, as the slightest touch makes it spring open.

Ciro was absolutely wonderful, he designed similar tattoos for me and a friend who had never gotten a tattoo before. He was beyond accommodating, making sure we were comfortable and was great conversation. And ofc an incredible end result. Cannot recommend enough :)

I went there to have a belly button piercing. It was my first experience and they were very welcoming and nice to me. The place is nice, the studio respect all hygienic measures. The price was fair, I payed 60 € for the piercing and 10 extra for the jewel. The standard is included in the price, but they also have other non standards you can also choose (you cannot have your piercing out for the first year). I was a bit nervous and they let in one of my brothers to cheer me up. The piercer, Michel, was super nice and professional. He helped me relax, explained very well the process pre and post. They gave me advices on how to heal the piercing in next days and months, and tell to call them in case of problems. Very nice experience. Super recommended.

Excellent shop! Staff was friendly, spoke excellent English, and we're very accomodating of my short schedule. They worked with my idea and schedule, and found an artist able to meet my needs. This was an all around wonderful experience, and if you are looking for a tattoo in Amsterdam, I couldn't recommend White Whale enough!

I went to get my first piercing a few weeks ago (both nipples) and was greeted by a very friendly guy (didn't catch his name but dark beard cool looking dude). The place is a nice clean and sterile studio and the staff obviously care for doing a professional job in a relaxed environment. After having the piercings done by the guy I was greeted by (perfectly straight piercings with thorough pre piercing alignment checks) he left me with lots of aftercare information and sterilising gear. 3 weeks later and I have had absolutely no sign of infection or even swelling. As a first timer getting pierced I can't give an educated opinion as to what to expect but all I can say is this has been the best experience I could have imagined having a man stab a needle through both my nipples. Cant recommend this place enough!

I had a lot of pain afterwards and it was not healing. I went to a different place to remove the earring and was told that it was badly pierced. The cause of my pain was the tilted/ angled piercing (higher at the back, lower at front) and that it would be nearly impossible to heal.
