I went here for my very first tattoo last year and because I was so happy with it I came back for a second one last week! Both were done by Gery, their regular guestartist. He needed very little information to design me something beautiful. It was exactly what I had in mind! The whole process of tattooing was explained clearly: design, placement, price. So I would know what I was getting into before we started. To be honest I was a bit nervous about getting a tattoo on my ribs, but thanks to his impeccable expertise I made through with only a couple of breaks! And it's healing perfectly! When you enter the shop you feel very welcome. Everyone is so nice, checking whether you need something to drink on your break, making sure you're comfortable. Not to forget the gentle giant Ghost a Swiss shepherd who basically sets the whole relaxed vibe of the shop on his own. Thank you for my lovely tattoo experience, I feel like a work of art now!

Absolutely lovely place! Stumbled upon this place whilst on holiday in Amsterdam. My previous tattoo appointment at another parlor had been canceled abruptly so I was in search for another when I spotted this little shop hidden in an alley. Inside I was greeted by a MASSIVE WHITE FLUFFY DOG, who lazily was guarding the entrance to the artists' space. The owner of this dire wolf (actually named Ghost!) was very nice and after a short discussion of their walk-in policy (they strongly welcome it!), and showing a pic of the design I had in mind, she had procured an artist (Fabio) whom I had a lovely chat with. Within 10 minutes I had an appointment for the next day. The tattoo took about three hours (including small breaks, where they offered refreshments!) to make and was my largest to date, but the time passed along very quickly with the artists’ banter and familiarity with each other and the proud support from everyone. A very lovely and fun gang all around and 100% the best tattoo experience I’ve had so far. It’s been almost a month now and the tattoo looks reaaaalllly good, it’s my favorite of all the ones I have, both because of the personal significance and for the fantastic Fabio who made it into being. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Truly a hidden gem and a must for both visiters and locals who are looking to see their tattoo visions made reality. (Sidenote, they accept both cash and card which I personally very much appreciated.) 11/10 inked stars!

I have just (literally) got a tattoo with my best friend with Fabio and Cesar at Motor Ink. These guys are super friendly and relaxed and did an amazing job on both of our tattoos! The whole team is very welcoming and they managed to get us in the same day. Friendly and talented people. Definitely recommended! Oh… and it didn’t even hurt that much!

Becoming 39 this month of humid July, never had a tattoo before in my life, I looked up the best reviewed tat shop in AMS and lo and behold, I ended up with Motorink. Sent an email with the pic I wanted on my shoulder, got a polite and suggestion loaded response, appointing the legendary Fabio to do the art. I only wanted that one, he told me he would definitely see me soon again, which I was sceptical about. In the evening I messaged him on Instagram that I want another 2 tomorrow! "No problem bro" was the answer, 2 weeks later went back for a 4th and another 2 weeks later to add some extras to the last one. The energy, the atmosphere, the people there are just fantastic, they even let me pick the music to be played that's how relaxed and cool they are, customer is first and you feel that approach immediately. Priced reasonably, you always have a good laugh, Kat, Kristina, Ada and last but not least, the lady that holds it all together, Grazina! Thank you for the kind hospitality and artwork, if I am near the area I will pop in again just to say hi at the very least, will surely see you again! Got my first tattoo at MotorInk back in 2018 and it still looks great today. While I don't think my artist works there anymore, the staff and management treated me very well, making me feel safe and respected throughout the process. I had the best day getting tattooed here. Don't be fooled by the little alley, this shop that's tucked away is among the best in Amsterdam! All the artist are pros that make their own designs. What's even more rare is the passion and joy they put into their work. And the relaxed atmosphere they create for their customers cause here they really listen to their customers. I enjoyed the whole process of the design to the actual tattooing (by Célio). And of course the singing.
